Beautiful Lips

If you want to make lips appear fuller, outline lips just outside natural lip line. Fill in the new lip shape with a pencil lipstick for precision.

This is a part of your face that people look at more than any other. You may not realize it but we all do a certain amount of lip reading during a conversation. This is why it’s more difficult to understand a person on the telephone or someone not facing you. Isn’t that reason enough to keep your lips looking beautiful?

A More Natural Look

Lining Lips for a Professional Look
To get a balanced look with lip pencil, draw two dots at the upper lip’s bow. Work from the outside corners of your mouth toward each of the dots. Draw a dash across the bottom of the lower lip, and once again work from the outer corner toward the dash.

Minimizing Full Lips
If you want to make lips appear smaller, use concealer over your natural lip line. Line just inside natural lip line and fill in new lip shape with lipstick.

Maximize Thin Lips
If you want to make lips appear fuller, outline lips just outside natural lip line. Fill in the new lip shape with a pencil lipstick for precision.

Correct Uneven Lips
If one lip is thinner and you want to make lips appear balanced, outline thinner lip just outside natural lip line. Line fuller lip along natural lip line. Fill in new lip shape with lipstick.

No Chance to Re-apply Lipstick?
To make lipstick really last, outline and fill entire lip surface with base coat of lip pencil. The drier matte texture helps lipstick hold tight. Finish with your regular lipstick.

Prevent Lipstick from Creeping
Start with a lip base product that smoothes dry spots and helps prevent lip-colour from bleeding and feathering. Because the mouth area is the second driest area after eyes, little vertical mouth lines can occur and cause lipstick creep. Use a long wear lipstick to keep colour in tact.

Dry Lips
Retain moisture by applying petroleum jelly around mouth and lips at night and leave on while you are sleeping. Exfoliate dry, rough layer with a scrub cream, gently applied. Try one of the lip treatments available at cosmetic counters.

Prevent Lipstick Smears on Glasses and Cups
To keep lipstick from coming off on your glass, blot away all moisture after the initial application. Re-apply and blot once more. If you prefer a shiny appearance, add a little lip-gloss or petroleum jelly. Try one of the transfer-resistant lipsticks for best results.
