I recently married to a man with two children; a son in his twenties and daughter, 22. I also have two children, one son almost 30 and daughter in her twenties. We discussed sending cards and gifts to the children and he believes that on those occasions, he should be the only one signing the card. I told him this gives them the sign of us being divided and he disagree with me, telling me I will never be their mother. I agree that I will never be his mother, but the children need to know we are united in all ways. He still disagreed and finally said I can write a little note in the card if I choose but the card will only be signed "Dad" since they are "his" children. What do you suggest?
