		<description>I couldn&#039;t agree more.  The expectation that ANY family is always going to be &quot;blended&quot; in a homogeny of the smoothie variety is a fallacy.  In my interview on the BBC a week or so ago, the singer Ozzy Osbourne kicked off by saying that sometimes his kids from his first and second marriages get on; sometimes they don&#039;t.

And that&#039;s the point isn&#039;t it?  Sometimes the kids from a first family get on, sometimes they don&#039;t. Sometimes they all &quot;hate&quot; mum; sometimes dad&#039;s in the firing line.  Relationships, however they&#039;re formed, are about putting in the effort and working through the problems.  A much healthier attitude to have, I feel.
