One of the greatest experiences that you can have is a massage. It has been proven to promote both mind and body health. A massage is relaxing and increases the circulation in the muscles in the body. It allows the movement of oxygen and nutrients to the organs and tissues.

A Spa massage can be expensive, but now with the new model massage chairs on the market, many of the benefits can be obtained at home. Although people tend to think of massage chairs as being just a controlled vibration, there are now chairs that offer much more. The newer models not only massage your back, but can also massage your feet, neck and other parts of your body and benefit people of any age.

Depending upon your budget, you can either buy a basic partially effective device, or you can go all out and buy a more complicated model that offers many more therapeutic benefits.

If you’ve decided to go ahead with the purchase of a massage chair, there are some things that you might want to consider. This can be a big investment and you will want to make sure that you do it right.

To begin with, the motors in your massage chair are the most important parts. Find out in which country the motors were made. The best made massage chair motors come from Japan and comply with Industry Standards.

Secondly, check out the number of motors that the chair contains. There are many different models of message chairs available and the type and number of motors vary in each. When it comes to the quantity of motors, it is always better to have fewer good quality ones, than a larger number of lower end motors.

You will also want to examine the warranty that is offered with the chair. Before spending thousands of dollars, take the time to get a clear understanding of what is warranted. You should aim for a minimum of three years on parts, and 90 days of “in-home” service by a technician.

Because massage chairs are expensive and can be complicated, you would be wise to do some research on different manufacturers. Compare the functions, specifications and prices and be sure that the chair meets your needs and expectations.  There is a great deal of information online and it is likely that someone else has already purchased and commented on the chair that you’re considering. If the comments are all good, question the validity of the source. If there are no reviews, find out why and how long the product has been on the market. Don’t invest this kind of money without being completely comfortable with the product. If you cannot find anything online about a particular massage chair then there may be reason to be suspicious.
