Anyone facing foreclosure is in a real tough spot. Hopefully, some of the new government initiatives will help prevent families losing their homes.

i don't know where you got the information about less predatory lending in harlem, but i STILL get the stupid 0% faker offers. during the idiotic go-go days we got 5-6 a day. so maybe your area of harlem didn't get these things but i know two neighbors who took out 1-year option arms through those offers and are just slow-motion screwing themselves out of all of their equity at this point. they have SO MUCH equity though that it will be years before they spend all the cash they took out. but basically they cashed out tons of equity and now are paying the note w/ that money.
